Low Wall Cubicles

42-inch panels keep sightlines open for teams that talk all day, and they let daylight reach the middle of the floor. The most natural light per dollar in panel furniture.

Why Teams Pick Low Wall Cubicles

The short version of what this configuration does well.

Collaboration first
Seated, you focus. Stand up, and the whole team is right there. The height built for teams that work out loud.
Daylight travels
Low panels let window light reach the interior of the floor, and the space photographs twice its size.
Budget friendly
Less panel means less money: typically 15 to 25% under standard heights for the same footprint.

What Low Wall Cubicles Actually Cost

The least expensive way to define workstations short of open benching. Low panels use less material and set faster.

LineLowHigh
Full range, every line at its limit

This is an estimate, not a quote. The headline number is the band most projects land in. The table below shows the full range, which assumes every single line hits its cheapest or its priciest at the same time. That almost never happens. Ranges come from published 2026 industry pricing. Your real number depends on your building, your layout, and what sits in our warehouse the week you buy.

Not included: delivery, removal of existing furniture, electrical work by a licensed electrician, after-hours or weekend labor, and buildings without a freight elevator. Each of those adds cost. We price them line by line so you see them.

Comparing Cubicle Types?

Panel height and footprint are the two decisions that drive everything else. Here is the rest of the range.

Low Wall Cubicle Questions We Hear a Lot

Are low wall cubicles too loud?
For phone-heavy teams, yes. For collaborative teams, the openness is the point. Mixed floors pair low-wall pods with a few phone booths, and we lay that out for you.
Can we raise them later?
On stackable systems like Steelcase Answer and Herman Miller Canvas, yes: add tiles later instead of replacing stations.
How much do low wall cubicles cost?
A new low wall station typically runs $900 to $1,800 installed, and used stations run $500 to $1,100. Low panels use less material and set faster, so they're the least expensive way to define workstations short of open benching.
How tall is a low wall cubicle?
Low wall usually means 39 to 47 inches. At 39 inches you can see across the floor while seated. At 47 inches you get seated privacy but can still stand and talk over the panel, which is the height most open-plan offices settle on.
How fast can low wall cubicles be installed?
Fast. A crew can set 15 to 20 low wall stations a day once the floor is clear, so most projects finish in a day or two. It's the quickest cubicle type to install and the easiest to change later.
Do low wall cubicles come with power?
Yes, powered bases work the same at any panel height. Because low panels put the worksurface closer to the top of the panel, we usually recommend a beltline power feed so outlets sit at desk height instead of near the floor.
Who should not buy low wall cubicles?
Anyone whose team is on the phone all day, and anyone handling confidential material at their desk. Call centers, HR, and finance groups are usually happier at 53 inches or above. Low walls suit collaborative teams that talk to each other more than they talk to outsiders.
Do you deliver low wall cubicles around Columbus?
Yes, throughout Columbus and central Ohio with our own trucks and installers. Low panels fit standard elevators and doorways, so building access is rarely a problem. In-stock used low wall systems can often be installed within the week.
