Do I need project management for a small job?
A ten-desk refresh doesn't need it, and we'll not sell it to you. It earns its keep on multi-phase projects, occupied offices, new construction, and anything involving other trades or a hard move-in date.
What does project management cost?
On most projects it's built into the furniture quote, not a separate line. Large multi-phase projects get a scoped fee up front, in writing, before anything is ordered.
What does a project manager actually do on a furniture project?
One person owns the schedule, the punch list, and the phone. They coordinate manufacturers, freight, installers, your GC, and your building management, and they're on site during install. When something slips, you hear it from them before it becomes your problem.
How early should we bring you in?
As soon as you have a floor plan or a lease signed. Furniture lead times run six to ten weeks and building schedules move, so the earliest decisions are the ones with the most leverage. Coming in late means working around choices already made.
Do you coordinate with our architect and general contractor?
Yes, routinely. We attend construction meetings, track the schedule against furniture delivery dates, and coordinate power and data locations against the furniture plan. Most furniture problems on a build are actually coordination problems that surfaced too late.
How do you handle a project in phases?
We sequence by floor or department so people keep working while the space changes around them. Each phase gets its own layout, delivery date, and punch walk. Phased work costs more in labor and saves more in downtime.
What happens when something arrives damaged or late?
We catch it at the warehouse, not at your office. Everything is received and inspected before it ships to you, so a damaged top gets reordered while there's still time. If a manufacturer misses a date, we tell you the day we know.
Do you manage projects outside Columbus?
Yes, throughout central Ohio and statewide, and we manage multi-site rollouts as a single project with one point of contact. On-site presence during install is part of the service regardless of location.
