How We Grade Every Piece

"Used" means somebody owned it first. Minor scuffs and dings are normal, and we tell you about them before you buy. Here is the scale.

Grade A

Looks nearly new. Cleaned, inspected, worn parts replaced. You would have to hunt for the flaw.

Grade B

Light wear you'll stop noticing in a week. A scuffed base, a faded panel edge. Fully functional, priced to match.

As-Is

Just what it says. Cosmetic wear or a known quirk, disclosed up front, at the lowest price on the floor.

Grade A and Grade B pieces carry a one-year mechanical warranty, in writing.

Used Reception Furniture Questions We Hear a Lot

Does used lobby furniture look used?
Grade A pieces do not, and lobbies are where we send them. Commercial vinyl and high-rub fabrics hide years of light use; we photograph every flaw before you buy.
Can I see reception desks before buying?
Yes, and you should. Walk the showroom floor, or ask for photos and measurements of everything currently in stock.
How much does a used reception desk cost?
Used reception desks run $800 to $2,500 depending on size and finish, against $1,500 to $4,000 new and far more for custom. Lobby seating runs $150 to $500 per piece. It's one of the highest-impact places to spend used money.
How fast can I get used reception furniture?
In-stock pieces can be in your lobby within a few days. Reception desks are the least predictable used category because every lobby is a different size, so if you see one that fits, don't wait on it.
What sizes do used reception desks come in?
Most fall between 60 and 96 inches wide, with L-shaped and curved units running longer. Measure your wall and your traffic path first. A desk that fits the wall but blocks the door to the suite is the most common lobby mistake we're asked to fix.
Can a used reception desk be refinished or branded?
Often yes. We can refinish a laminate transaction top, replace a front panel, and mount a logo. Refinishing runs a few hundred dollars and makes a five-year-old desk read as new. It's usually cheaper than the difference to a new desk.
Is a used reception desk ADA compliant?
Some are, some aren't. You need a 36-inch-wide section at 36 inches or lower with knee clearance if the public transacts there. We measure every used reception desk and note the ADA section on the listing so you're not guessing.
